Second Life® now mobile

v-Gate GmbH offers from summer 2009 a Second-Life application for selected Nokia devices and introduces together with the development partner M-Way Solutions at the Games Developers Conference 2009 a first Public Beta. The metaport platform developed by M-Way Solutions and operated by v-Gate is the first mobile Grid environment for the efficient presentation of virtual 3D worlds on mobile devices.

Millions of people are registrated bei virtual 3D worlds like Second Life and use their possibilities for contacts, leisure time or economical aspects. And many of them want to act en-route in this virtual worlds. This is until now quite laborious if not even impossible. The reasons are the small displays of the mobile devices and the low bandwidth in the net most of the time. So far. The gateway “Metaport” developed by Scientific Computers in cooperation with M-Way Solutions solves all these problems.

Three months ago the Yankoo Group confirmed that 3D worlds only achieve, a wide distribution when there is a possibility to be part of the community always and everywhere.
